The Museum of Arts and Popular Traditions of Gargano tells the more recent history of Monte Sant’Angelo. Founded in 1925 by the local historian John Tancredi, author of the book “Folklore Garganico”, the Museum is in a lively and effective pastoral life, rural and urban of the recent past (‘800-’900) of the entire Gargano.

A tale of everyday objects, homes, furniture, work tools - even an old oil mill, complete with all its elements -, materials of the cult of St. Michael, that recreate a slice of life of those years.

The museum, housed in the Franciscan monastery of the fourteenth century, is a testimony to the unforgettable charm of the ancient crafts.
